Official Wales Rally GB Tour - 2019

(Thursday 3rd - Sunday 6th October 2019)

Avoid the worst of the traffic and the walks into the forest by joining us on our Wales Rally GB Escorted Tour! As the Official Tour provider for the event we have unrivalled knowledge & access to the best of the rally stages and events.

From Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon it will be almost non-stop rallying action, with your Rally Travel Tour Guide on hand to keep you up to date with all the news and results as we follow the event through the iconic 'RAC Rally' forests by comfortable midi-coach.

Our status as the Official Tour Provider means we often have access to exclusive viewing areas, including in 2016 the only 'non-spectator' stage on the rally!

For UK based guests who would like to join us directly at our hotel (location tbc), rather than at Manchester airport, we also include a transfer back to the hotel after the rally finishes.

Please click on the Red Button above, or call our Reservations Team on 01765 640055 to book your package.

Day 1 - Thursday 3rd October 2019

Prior to the rally week we send our tour groups a pdf copy of our Rally Information Pack which contains full details of the tour, a guide to the rally & the WRC, and an informative 'History of Rally GB'.

At 13:00 the Rally Travel Tour Guide will meet with the group at Manchester airport*, before escorting the guests down to our hotels (2019 location tbc). After checking-in there will be a Pre-Rally Briefing (attended by Nicky Grist & the event trophy in 2018!) and then in the evening we will visit the opening Super-Special Stage & Autograph show, usually at Tir Prince Raceway, which is a great chance for that all important 'Selfie' with the WRC stars!

*Guests can if they prefer meet us directly at the Hotel.

Day 2 - Friday 4th October (Slate Mountain, Brenig & Service in 2018!)

On the first full day of the rally in 2018 we visited the new 'Slate Mountain' stages (SS5 & SS6) where we saw the cars twice in quick succession as they tackled the Spectator-friendly stage.

Then, in the afternoon we had exclusive access to the newly combined Alwen-Brenig Stage (SS8) to see the cars in action mid-stage where our buses were parked just 100 metres from where the stage crossed over the new-for 2018 closed public road.

But the day didn't end there... in the early evening we will visited the WRC Service Area at Deeside for an opportunity to see the Teams & Drivers during the crucial end of day Service. We expect to be able to offer an 'extra' VIP visit to a WRC team for a limited number of Tour Guests again in 2019.

Day 3 - Saturday 5th October (Sweet Lamb stages in 2018)

On the toughest day of the rally we visited the legendary 'Sweet Lamb-Hafren' stages (SS11 & SS16). Viewing at 'Sweet Lamb' is one of the most open in the WRC with plenty of opportunities to see the cars in action for an extended period of time. There is a variety of different viewing options from the main area covering everything from water-splashes to jumps, hairpins to high-speed bends and even a drifting section through the 'bowl'!

We stayed at Sweet Lamb throughout the day to enable guests to see the whole of the National Rally entry through between the morning and afternoon WRC stages. With cars ranging from historic Ford Escorts & Metro 6R4s through to more modern Subarus and Mitsubishi Evos the National field provided some good lunch-time entertainment.

Day 4 - Sunday 7th October (Great Orme & Rally Podium!)

Our status as the Official Wales Rally GB Tour Provider enabled us to secure some fantastic accommodation close to the new 'Great Orme Llandudno' Stages (SS21 & SS23) in 2018, before this exciting new addition to the rally route had been announced! This enabled our Guests to have a relaxing start to the final day of the rally with the stage actually passing by the front of the hotel (see image taken from one of our balconies!).

Finally, after the rally finish in 2019 we will return back to Manchester airport for 18:00 for those flying home that evening. We advise that Guests book flights departing no earlier than 20:00 to ensure traffic delays to not interfere with their plans.
