We have been using hotels in the centre of Trier since 2001, and the city is a firm favourite with our guests due in no small part to it's friendly atmosphere & popular restaurant and bars. Our Hotel in Trier (IBIS Styles Trier - not pictured) was newly opened in 2015 and situated in the centre of the city, just a short stroll from the historic Porta Nigra (Roman Gate) and the main street and squares.
If you're coming to the ADAC Rally Deutschland you need to be staying in our hotel in the middle of Trier - it may not be Rally HQ any longer but it still ticks the most boxes as the ideal base for a weekend of rally spectating!
(Wednesday 21st - Monday 26th August 2019)
Our Rally Germany Escorted Tour is a great way of experiencing both the rally & the beautiful Mosel scenery, whilst ensuring that you get to the very best of the spectacular high-speed action. Our experienced team will have meticulously planned the tour itinerary beforehand after visiting the stages and hand-picking a selection of the best viewing areas available - and in 2018 we visited 9 stages!
We begin with the Shakedown Stage & WRC Service Park on Thursday morning and visit between 2-4 stages per day on the main rally days (Friday-Sunday)! Friday is traditionally the day the rally takes in the vine-yard stages along the Mosel River, and we have a couple of favourite restaurants with great food and great views to visit along the way. In 2018 we had the added attraction of visiting St. Wendel for an enjoyable few hours prior to the opening Super-Special Stage.

As we have so many International guests joining our Germany Escorted Tour each year via different routes/methods we have once again decided not to insist on a specific airport for 2019. Everyone is free to chose how they want to travel to Trier and at whatever time is convenient on the Wednesday, or earlier. Check-out of our hotel is on the Monday morning but we can arrange extra nights at the Hotel before or after.
In the past our Guests have joined us on the train from Frankfurt-Main airport, by Eurostar / SNCF from Paris, by car from all over Europe, with RyanAir into Frankfurt-Hahn airport or increasingly popular is the nearby Luxembourg airport which is just a short 40km taxi ride or public bus transfer to Trier - so there's plenty of options for everyone!
Please contact our Reservations Team on tel. +44 (0)1765 640055 (email here) for more information on travel options.
As we have Rally Fans joining our Tours from all over the World, we do not include flights in any of our packages. Guests can choose and book flights themselves which best suit their requirements.
We suggest www.skyscanner.net to find flight options, and then check direct with the airline websites for true availability and prices.
If you can not find suitable flights on the days that are required then you can extend your stay on most of our tours - please click here to email us your requirements for additional nights at the destination.
