PRTGOLD - 5 night Escorted Tour from £750pp!

(Wednesday 29th May - Monday 3rd June 2019)

Our Rally Portugal Escorted Tour is a great way of experiencing the rally whilst ensuring that you get to the very best of the spectacular high-speed action over the challenging gravel stages.

Our experienced team will have meticulously planned the tour itinerary beforehand after visiting the stages and hand-picking a selection of the best viewing areas available in conjunction with the Rally Organisers.

We usually begin with the Shakedown Stage & a visit to the WRC Service Park on Thursday morning, the incredible Lousada SuperSpecial later that day and then usually visit 2 stages per day on the main rally days (Friday-Sunday).

We stay in the fantastic host city of Porto, near the Place Batalha and within walking distance of many bars, restaurants and the main sights of this vibrant city on the banks of the River Douro.

Please click on the Red Button above, or call our Reservations Team on 01765 640055 to book your package.

Day 1 (Wednesday) - What we did in 2018...

As in 2018 our tour will begin with an airport transfer to the IBIS Porto Centro hotel, our base for the rally week, and a welcome briefing (including safety elements) from one of our experienced Rally Travel Tour Guides. In the evening a chance to explore Porto with it's many restaurants, shops and sights within easy walking distance of our base on the Placa da Batalha.

Day 2 (Thursday) - Shakedown, Service Park & Super-Special!

With the 'VIP Rally Pass' purchased for all our 2018 guests we had access to a Grandstand at the Thursday morning shakedown stage, giving a superb view of a high-speed approach in to the 'stadium' over a jump, and then several flowing asphalt AND gravel corners keeping the cars in sight for 30 seconds or more!

After Shakedown a visit to the Service Park, a couple of hours at leisure in Porto and then a visit to the iconic Lousada Rallycross track for an opening Super-Special that has arguably the most incredible crowd and atmosphere in the WRC.

Day 3 (Friday) - 2 Caminha stages + VIP Team Visit!

Two passes of the Caminha stage viewing from the exclusive 'VIP Rally Pass' area complete with Grandstand seating at the hairpin and a large TV screen showing some of the live coverage! A fast approach downhill in front of the viewing area into a hairpin-left, with the cars visible for several kilometres in the distance as the stage crossed the hillsides.

In the evening we visited the WRC Service Park with some guests taking part in our 'VIP visit to the M-Sport WRC team' - a great chance to get up close to the team and their cars and drivers!

Day 4 (Saturday) - Vast viewing area at Amarante

Once again our 'VIP Rally Pass' area was incredible with a large area with two separate Grandstands and plenty of room to walk around and view the section from, comprising of a long asphalt ascent at the back of the area and then a fast downhill section through a spectacular right-hand bend. One of the best all-round viewing areas we have visited in 18 years of WRC tours - see video above for the gravel section.

Day 5 (Sunday) - Montim stage and Service Park celebrations!

With it being all but impossible to access the Fafe jump without using a helicopter or sleeping in the car the night before(!), we utilised the excellent VIP viewing area on the nearby Montim stage where the cars tackled the stage twice in a two hour period. Brunch was served inbetween, and there was plenty of viewing of a tight sequence of corners around the viewing area, plus  a high speed approach down a  bumpy straight opposite the road. After the top 20 cars on the final run of the stage we travelled back to Service to watch the PowerStage on the TV screens, and then witnessed the emotional scenes first hand as Thierry Neuveille drove into their service area to be greeted with a champagne shower from the Hyundai team - the perfect end to a weekend of high-speed WRC action!
